About Us

Our Misadventures is a blog written by Meg and (sometimes) Jeff, a married couple living in the heart of California.  The blog covers their experiences in life together.

Meg is a creative person, and loves to express herself in many mediums from baking breads to designing scrapbooking products. Like Jeff, she loves to travel and explore.  She has joined him on his fishing trips, but doesn’t get as excited as him to touch a slimy fish.  The summer of 2010, after getting married, she started Ocean Wide Designs, a freelance graphic and web design business specializing in digiscrap supplies. She gave up designing to focus on growing the digital scrapbooking community with her social network, Real Life Scrapped. She also works as an independent contractor processing real estate appraisals. When she isn’t working, she’s finding new recipes and projects to try.

Jeff is an avid sportsmen and loves to get out and fish and hunt as much as he can.  He doesn’t stick to one type of hunting or fishing, he likes to try everything.  He has been deep-sea fishing out of Los Angeles, and freshwater fishing in several rivers and lakes in the Sierras.  A member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, he likes to educate others in the importance of animal conservation and the preservation of the sport of hunting.  Aside from being an outdoorsmen, he enjoys playing video games on his PC and XBox 360.
