Our Misadventures was originally founded in 2011 as a personal blog by Jeff and Meg, recording our adventures in life as a couple. The blog has morphed into several different purposes over the years – and eventually was abandoned because life happens. Now in late 2019, we’re reviving it to share our adventures and passions as we make major changes in our lives.
About Meg
Meg is a woman of many passions – traveling, books, knitting, helping others, family, pets, Pokémon… a lot of things! Most days she finds comfort in working from home and curling up with her knitting or a good book. When she isn’t introverting at home, she can be found walking or hiking and exploring new areas.
In 2018 Meg was diagnosed with endometriosis after an emergency cystectomy. Already diagnosed with Celiac disease and hypothyroidism, this was a turning point in being an advocate for other women with chronic illnesses. Following excision surgeries in 2019, Meg was also diagnosed with PCOS. She helps women become their own advocates for proper treatment and dispels myths in a Facebook support group. If you want to learn more about these conditions, see her resource page.
For many years now, Meg has worked independently as a Social Media Strategist specializing in account management for food bloggers. She loves coming alongside fellow business owners and equipping them to succeed on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, and more. Learn more about Meg’s business here.
