New (old) Obsession

by Meg on June 16, 2012

My first try at nail art stamping...

I’ve gotten addicted to manicures, again.  This time I’m really diving into the obsession, I realized that if I’m painting my nails in the evenings… it keeps my snack cravings away.  Which is huge progress for me, the evenings are the WORST.

I’m stocking up on things to make my mani obsession more interesting.  Tonight I tried out the Shany Nail Art Plates, and I had a hard time with them.  Like a dunce, I didn’t really do much research into how best use stamp plates… so it took three full manicures before I had something I felt like I could walk out the door with.  It’ll take some more practice, but I’m loving the unlimited possibilities. The Bundle Monster sets are definitely next on my list :) In the above photo, I used Julep Nail Color in Robin, Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Celeb City, & Shany plate #13. Sorry for the crappy instagram photo, I really didn’t have anything else within reach :-\

A few months ago I joined the Julep Mavens and have fallen in LOVE with their nail polish — it’s the only line of polish that hasn’t instantly chipped for me! I always use Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, but I would still get chips from all the typing I do. The Julep polishes will last me several days before I get a chip! You can join the Mavens and get a monthly box, or order their products individually.  I’ve been very happy with everything I’ve received, their hands & face sunscreen is the best! Their nail colors are completely free of icky chemicals like formaldehyde – which means they’re even safe for pups like Riley!

You can get your first Julep Mavens box for only a penny – and you can cancel the membership at any time! Just click on this link & use the code “COLOR2012″ at checkout.

I’ll be back soon with photos from our anniversary trip — we finally stumbled upon some wild horses!!!
